## Description

Wir leben in einer Welt der Zahlen. Mit einer Ausbildung zum mathematisch-technischen Softwareentwickler (MATSE) kannst Du in diesen Zahlen lesen - Du analysierst und erschaffst komplexe Programmstrukturen und legst den Grundstein für funktionierende Systeme unserer Wirtschaft - und das alles von Deinem Schreibtisch aus. Anders als der Fachinformatiker kümmerst Du dich dabei nur selten um die Hardware. Der Schwerpunkt deiner Ausbildung liegt ganz klar auf der Software. Die Haupttätigkeit ist die Konzipierung und Wartung von Softwaresystemen. Mithilfe verschiedenster Testverfahren und Lösungsalgorithmen werden Schwachstellen des Systems identifiziert und beseitigt. Gearbeitet wird fast ausschließlich in Programmiersprachen wie zum Beispiel C, C++ oder Java.

Der gesamte Softwareentwicklungsprozess wird von dir dokumentiert und zur Weiterverarbeitung und Anwendung zur Verfügung gestellt. Ergänzend zur Entwicklung und Dokumentation der Softwaresysteme, gehört die Beratung und Betreuung von Kunden. Hierbei weist du als MATSE Kunden in neu entwickelte oder angepasste Systeme ein.
