Your role and responsibilities The Technical Support Officer plays an important role within the Growth, Highways and Infrastructure department, supporting the delivery of Transport Strategy services across the county. A typical day might include: * Uploading planning documents and keeping databases up to date, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. * Managing financial tasks for the teams we support, from processing payments and invoices to keeping track of budgets. * Answering calls and emails, providing helpful information to colleagues and the public, and resolving queries. * Issuing Street Works Permits to developers undertaking works in the public highway and recording this information on Aurora. * Organising meetings, booking rooms, and ensuring everyone is prepared and supported. * Contributing to team discussions, sharing your ideas, and supporting and covering others. * Helping design and improve systems, making processes more efficient for everyone. * Providing a welcoming first point of contact, offering advice and guidance.
