+ Around 3 years' commercial experience developing with PHP.
 + Strong experience with the Symfony Framework.
 + Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
 + Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
 + Experience working with Linux and NGINX environments.
 + Strong understanding of Git version control.
 + Good knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
 + Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
 + Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
Desirable

 + Experience with React, Webpack and modern JavaScript (ES6).
 + Knowledge of Redis and SOLR.
 + Experience with website performance optimisation.
 + Familiarity with SEO best practices.
 + Experience with Google Tag Manager.
 + Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced PHP Developer to help drive the development of their customer-facing platforms and internal systems.

Responsibilities

 + Develop, maintain and enhance backend applications using PHP and Symfony.
 + Design and develop REST APIs and microservices for internal and external integrations.
 + Build scalable, secure and high-performing applications.
 + Work with AWS services including EC2, S3, CloudFront, Lambda, CloudWatch and RDS.
 + Collaborate with developers, stakeholders and other business teams to deliver new features.
 + Write clean, maintainable and well-documented code following best practices.
 + Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions.
 + Work within an Agile development environment to deliver projects on time.
 + Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.
