## About the Role

* Minimum 7+ years of telecommunications, networking, or IT infrastructure experience.
 * Experience supporting large-scale technology deployments.
 * Knowledge of NG 9-1-1, E911, ESInet, GIS, SIP, VoIP, or emergency communications technologies.
 * Experience leading technical teams and stakeholder engagements.
 * Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

 * Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) experience.
 * State or local government experience.
 * NG 9-1-1 migration project experience.
 * Experience with network operations and telecommunications infrastructure.

## Description

The Senior Technical Lead will support NG 9-1-1 migration planning and execution activities and provide technical leadership across stakeholder organizations, vendors, and PSAPs. The role focuses on migration readiness, testing, operational transition, and technical program coordination., * Coordinate NG 9-1-1 migration and pre-migration activities.

 * Facilitate technical meetings among Cal OES, PSAPs, network service providers, and vendors.
 * Support migration testing, validation, and cutover planning.
 * Identify technical risks, dependencies, and implementation challenges.
 * Develop technical recommendations and solution strategies.
 * Maintain NG 9-1-1 system documentation and reference architecture.
 * Support operational readiness assessments.
 * Contribute to statewide 9-1-1 strategic planning efforts.
 * Provide technical status reporting and executive-level updates.
