Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and test automation frameworks. * Solid understanding of QE methodologies, software development lifecycles, and Agile practices. * Strong experience in BDD/TDD practices and writing executable test specifications. * Comfortable testing across web, mobile, and API layers. * Strong debugging and analytical skills to identify root causes of issues in complex systems. * Familiarity with mobile app testing using real devices/emulators on Android and iOS. * Good interpersonal and written communication skills to collaborate with distributed teams. * Ability to work independently and take initiative in solving problems and improving processes. Preferred Job Requirements: * Quality Assurance certifications (ISTQB or similar). * Cloud platform certifications (AWS, Azure). * Exposure to AI-based testing accelerators (e.g., model-based testing, smart selectors). * Experience in testing IoT or embedded systems (preferred but not mandatory). * Experience with non-relational databases like Couchbase or Neo4J. ## Description This is a role within Chamberlain Group's Engineering team. The SDET Level 3 is a highly skilled senior-level engineer responsible for delivering robust test automation solutions across web, API, and mobile platforms. With a strong foundation in modern QA engineering practices, this role focuses on developing scalable automation frameworks, supporting CI/CD processes, and ensuring high-quality software releases in fast-paced Agile environments. The SDET Level 3 collaborates closely with cross-functional teams-including developers, product owners, and DevOps engineers-to ensure testability and quality are built into the product from the start. While not formally a people manager, the individual is expected to guide and mentor junior engineers, influence team-level quality strategy, and take ownership of critical testing initiatives. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of software development principles, BDD practices, and automation architecture, and is passionate about improving quality through code.
