Equivalent technology industry experience within business intelligence, analytics, or data engineering functions will be considered * Advanced to Expert SQL * Proficiency with data visualization using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker * Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R for analytics * Experience building data warehouses and modeling data through ETL pipelines (e.g. Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) * Experience with project management and supporting relationships with cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Data Engineering) * Ability to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions * Curious Mindset - We are looking for someone who enjoys seeking the truth through data - if you ever found yourself bringing in out-of-the-box datasets and theories because you just had to figure out why a number moved, this is the job for you * MS in an appropriate technology field (Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math, etc.) or equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications: * Experience building AI-ready data models and semantic layers, with familiarity using data cataloging tools such as Secoda * Experience working in consumer-facing app environments (e.g., subscription/DTC mobile or web products), with an understanding of user acquisition, retention, and engagement metrics unique to consumer products Values you'll model * Be Kind and Care - build with empathy; assume positive intent; support teammates and members. * Live Good Health - champion healthy habits and balance in how we work and what we ship. * Be Data-Inspired - ground decisions in research and data; measure what matters. * Champion Change - lean into ambiguity; iterate, learn, and improve continuously. ## Description We are looking for a product-minded BI Engineer to join the MyFitnessPal Business Intelligence team. As a Sr. BI Engineer, you will be an expert on MyFitnessPal KPI reporting and play a key role in making the MyFitnessPal data environment amenable to self-service via Tableau. The Business Intelligence team is a great place to be at MyFitnessPal. We are on the pulse of the business as we are responsible for KPIs, Monitoring and Alerts, AB Testing, Data Democratization, and Strategic Insights.
