## Description

This employee will serve as the lead software developer for DNR. Job Duties Include:

 * Direct agency software and applications design and implementation by developing system design and technology integration strategies including assessing needs, developing technical specifications and software implementation schedules and procedures, developing procedures and protocols for software prototyping, debugging and testing procedures and developing system roll-out and user training.
 * Develop standardized software development framework for the DNR with version control, change management and shared code libraries.
 * Provide software and applications development support to the DNR.
 * Serve as lead programmer/analyst for enterprise applications development using mvc.NET/Visual Studio and other appropriate software development languages and tools.
 * Optimize applications software performance and ensure software integrity.
 * Establish software development/programming standards and procedures that comply with best management practices and information security standards.
 * Establish program development frameworks and protocols and ensure compliance by all programmers and other technology staff as appropriate.
 * Assess agency application and software development needs by conducting user needs assessments and functional technical specifications to direct agency software development.
 * Document software development issues and procedures including developing regular reports of software application status and problems, project management or development procedures and other relevant issues.
