You will work directly with engineering teams and stakeholders - which means you are expected to solve real business problems, not just implement technical requirements. That starts with understanding the domain, the data, and the people using the system before deciding how to build it. You will guide best practices, mentor developers, and own outcomes end to end., * Architect and deliver REST-based microservices on Amazon ECS, with hands-on experience across EC2 and Lambda to select the right compute model for each use case. * Develop backend Node.js REST APIs using NestJS with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and security. * Define API design standards and patterns across microservices, ensuring consistency, versioning, and backward compatibility. * Design PostgreSQL schemas with sound judgment on tradeoffs - normalization, indexing, and query performance at scale. * Design and maintain ECS deployments including autoscaling, ingress, and workload security. * Design secure API exposure using API Gateway, Application Load Balancer, and CloudFront. * Implement secure access patterns using IAM roles, IRSA, VPC endpoints, VPC peering, and private networking. * Provide hands-on technical leadership - coaching teams on cloud-native design, CI/CD, and best practices. * Develop and maintain architectural blueprints and documentation. ## Related Videos - [30 powerful AWS hacks in just 30 minutes: Boost your developer productivity](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1624-30-powerful-aws-hacks-in-just-30-minutes-boost-your-developer-productivity) - [Nest.js - TypeScript in the backend can also be clean](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1033-nest-js-typescript-in-the-backend-can-also-be-clean) - [Stop using Node.js like in 2020!
