You will be part of a team that works on cutting edge silicon design - chips engineered to operate in the harsh environment of space. We are looking for an HW Development Engineer to join the ASIC Team and own PCB design for Test and SW development platforms that enable validation and bring-up of our next-generation MODEM SOC. In this role, you will collaborate closely with silicon, firmware, and software engineers to build hardware that accelerates the path from tape-out to orbit., * Design, optimize and develop PCB schematics and layouts for SOC validation and SW development platforms using Siemens Xpedition * Collaborate with post-silicon engineers to define board requirements including debug access, instrumentation tap points, and high-speed interface breakout (SerDes, DDR, Ethernet SGMII/RGMII) * Work with firmware and software teams to ensure development boards meet early SW bring-up and driver development needs * Work with cross-functional teams (ASIC, firmware, mechanical) to translate silicon requirements into board-level implementations * Review signal integrity and power integrity analysis; incorporate SI/PI recommendations into layout * Own the board lifecycle from concept through fabrication, assembly, bring-up, and ECO management Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. ## Related Videos - [More efficient software for more efficient microchips](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1164-more-efficient-software-for-more-efficient-microchips) - [The Gashlycrumb Tinies of AI Networking You Must Know (or Languish!)](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/2067-the-gashlycrumb-tinies-of-ai-networking-you-must-know-or-languish) - [Cloud Vendor Lock-In - Is it just a new version of the Database Abstraction Layers?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1185-cloud-vendor-lock-in-is-it-just-a-new-version-of-the-database-abstraction-layers) - [Building a hypercar from scratch](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/607-building-a-hypercar-from-scratch) - [Remote Driving on Plant Grounds with State-of-the-Art Cloud Technologies](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/251-remote-driving-on-plant-grounds-with-state-of-the-art-cloud-technologies) - [Docker network without Docker](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1418-docker-network-without-docker) ## Related Articles - [The 8 Best Code Testing Tools](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/402-the-8-best-code-testing-tools) - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs) - [Is Software Engineering Hard?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/448-is-software-engineering-hard) - [Software Engineer Career: Things You Should Know](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/143-software-engineer-career-things-you-should-know) - [What Jobs Can You Get with a Software Engineering Degree?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/398-what-jobs-can-you-get-with-a-software-engineering-degree) - [Where to Find Entry-Level Software Engineering Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/397-where-to-find-entry-level-software-engineering-jobs)
