This position will have a thorough understanding of firm technologies and systems and will be able to understand both the business and technical requirements for new products that will be engineered and implemented by the group. Position Responsibilities: Analyze system performance, modify parameters to improve throughput and effectively utilize system resources. Monitor resource usage, making required adjustments Participate in on-call production support activities Work closely with the Architecture and Engineering group as well as the Network Engineering group to provision complex infrastructure designs, for example, the design, implementation and support of VMware server infrastructure Monitor, maintain and ensure the regular execution of backup routines by responding to system alerts and maintaining data replication between datacenters and DR locations Participate in the planning, testing and execution of DR/BC procedures including failover and failback between datacenters and across the Firm's network Proactively create and implement procedures to prevent and reduce the severity of outages.
