As a Roadway Programs Technician 1 for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), you will help organize and track key information used to support a wide-range of maintenance projects. This position allows you to work with managers, field staff, and inventory systems to keep operations moving smoothly. You will also assist with monitoring supplies, collecting data, and reviewing important roadway information. As a Roadway Programs Technician 1, you will perform the following duties: + Plan Review: Analyze work plans and help adjust program needs for labor, materials, and equipment + Data Analysis: Review information from Systems Applications and Products (SAP) and Roadway Management System (RMS) systems to support goals and maintain program accuracy + Field Monitoring: Observe maintenance work in the field and gather data to support development of work standards + Inventory Control: Track materials, monitor stockpile levels, and complete goods receipt entries in SAP + Damage Assessment: Inspect guiderail and roadway damage, prepare reports, and coordinate repairs with contractors + Contract Oversight: Monitor roadside service contracts and verify that completed work meets expectations Interested in learning more?
