At TVH, some of our mission critical systems run on Linux; therefore, your expertise will ensure the resilience and scalability of our business operations. In this role, you will bridge the gap between traditional enterprise Linux stability and modern cloud-native architectures, whether they reside on prem or in the cloud. You are a key player in shaping the technology roadmap, implementing a culture of "Infrastructure as Code" (IaC). Your primary weapon of choice will be the Ansible Automation Platform, transforming manual processes into highly orchestrated, self-healing workflows. Responsibilities * Roadmapping: Influence, shape, maintain, and execute the technology roadmap for our Linux infrastructure, ensuring it aligns with business requirements, growth, and modern cloud/hybrid trends. * Automation: Serve as the technical owner for the Ansible Automation Platform. Design and implement robust automation frameworks for provisioning, configuration management, patching, and compliance. * Infrastructure Guardian: Ensure maximum uptime, performance tuning, and security hardening of the Linux environments hosting our core ecosystems, on prem or in the cloud. * Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Guide, mentor, and elevate the skills of system engineers. Establish best practices, code review standards for Ansible playbooks, and documentation guidelines. * Lifecycle & Vulnerability Management: Oversee OS lifecycle management, upgrades, and security patching, minimizing maintenance windows through automated updates. * Vendor & Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate with the PM office, application teams, tech leads, architects and security officers to ensure maximum uptime and on time delivery. Qualifications * Deep, production-proven experience administering enterprise Linux distributions such as RHEL or SUSE in high-availability environments. * Expertise with Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), Ansible Tower/AWX, creating complex roles and collections, and integrating Ansible with CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab or Jenkins.
