## About the Role

* Extensive experience as a Data Architect, Enterprise Data Architect, or Lead Data Architect within large-scale enterprise environments.
 * Strong understanding of modern data architecture principles, including Data Mesh, Data Fabric, and cloud-based data ecosystems.
 * Proven experience designing and governing enterprise-wide data platforms and data operating models.
 * Deep knowledge of data modelling, data integration, metadata management, and data governance practices.
 * Experience supporting regulatory and compliance requirements within complex organizations.
 * Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence senior business and technology leaders.
 * Experience working across data engineering, analytics, business intelligence, and AI functions.
 * Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making capabilities.

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:

 * Experience within regulated industries such as Energy, Utilities, Financial Services, or Telecommunications.
 * Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
 * TOGAF, DAMA, or equivalent architecture and data management certifications.
 * Experience implementing Data Mesh principles and domain-oriented data ownership models.
 * Familiarity with data governance and enterprise architecture frameworks.

## Description

* Define, maintain, and govern the enterprise data architecture strategy aligned to the business and technology objectives.
 * Lead the design and evolution of data architecture supporting the transition to a Data Mesh approach.
 * Establish data architecture principles, standards, and best practices across the organization.
 * Provide architectural leadership for enterprise data platforms, analytics, and AI initiatives.
 * Ensure data solutions are scalable, secure, interoperable, and compliant with regulatory and governance requirements.
 * Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate business requirements into future-state data architecture designs.
 * Drive consistency across data domains, products, models, and integration patterns.
 * Support data governance initiatives, including data quality, metadata management, lineage, and master data management.
 * Review and approve architecture designs, ensuring adherence to enterprise architecture standards.
 * Act as a trusted advisor to leadership teams on data strategy, architecture, and technology decisions.
 * Identify opportunities to improve data accessibility, reusability, and business value across the enterprise.
