## About the Role

_ high-quality architecture documentation including HLDs, LLDs, and network diagrams. * Drive continual improvement across network performance, resilience, security, and service adoption. * Support operational teams in troubleshooting complex network issues and identifying long-term solutions. * Develop short and long-term technology roadmaps to keep services current and scalable. * Support new service introductions through technical analysis, deployment planning, cost modelling, and implementation coordination. * Ensure network services align with security best practice, including zero-trust principles and secure government/regulated environments. * Build strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and business teams across a large matrix organisation. Tasks * Strong hands-on experience across enterprise networking technologies including AWS networking, Azure networking, Cisco Meraki technologies, network security technologies and enterprise networking technologies. * Experience in
regulated or government secure environments is desirable. * Knowledge of carrier WAN technologies including MPLS, leased lines, and managed connectivity services. * Experience with architectural frameworks such as TOGAF. * Strong experience producing HLDs, LLDs, technical architecture documentation, and network diagrams. * Experience managing and collaborating with suppliers, partners, and third-party operational teams. * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability in complex enterprise environments. * 5+ years' experience in a senior network engineering or network design role. * Relevant certifications desirable: CCNP Enterprise, AWS Advanced Networking - Specialty, Azure Network Engineer Associate, Palo Alto PCNSE/Prisma. * Some environments require out-of-hours support. ## Description

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead and craft Serco's enterprise network capabilities in a multi-cloud, security-driven environment. You'll own design, engineering, and evolution of network services across AWS and Azure, coordinating with product, architecture, and operations teams to deliver resilient, secure connectivity. You'll produce architecture documentation and roadmaps, driving improvements in performance and security while supporting complex troubleshooting and service introductions. This is a delivery-focused, hands-on position with a meaningful impact on public-sector-aligned infrastructure.
