## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
 * Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design and development of automotive seating components.
 * Hands-on experience with CATIA V6 for component and assembly design.
 * Strong knowledge of automotive seating systems and Design & Release (DRE) processes.
 * Experience with feasibility analysis, packaging studies, and manufacturing technologies.
 * In-depth understanding of plastic injection molding and metal stamping/tooling processes.
 * Excellent collaboration and communication skills with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams.

## Description

* Serve as the Design & Release Engineer (DRE) for automotive seating components.
 * Design automotive seating component parts using CATIA V6.
 * Develop, validate, and execute seating system requirements for passenger vehicles, including cars and SUVs.
 * Design, complete, and release seating components, sub-systems, and detailed parts such as:

 * Seat Back Frame
 * Cushion Frame
 * Foam
 * Trim
 * Plastic Components
 * Collaborate with seat component suppliers to support vehicle development milestones, prototype builds, and production launch activities.
 * Conduct feasibility studies and packaging analysis to ensure design compliance and manufacturability.
 * Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes to optimize product design and production.
 * Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of seating systems that meet quality, cost, and performance targets.
 * Possess a strong understanding of plastic and metal tooling, including design considerations for manufacturing.
