The first step in the sharing of resources is the identification and comprehension of where those resources reside and their capabilities. The Resource Directory Database (RDDB) project must continue to expand the type and quantity of emergency response resources available to all NJ emergency planners and response coordinators to ensure we are prepared to address federal and state mandates for preparedness standards and emergency response. The database as it stands today is stale and in need of revision as no significant changes have been made since its initial release in 2006. Database modifications must be made to increase functionallity, enhance mapping, reporting, search, validity of data and deployment changing critera as they present themselves and to encourage continued participation by both our public and private sector partners. In addition, OIT has notified ITB and OEM that they will discontinue support for the current server located at OIT by refusing to host the application on the current platform. Therefore, OIT is requiring that the application be converted from its current format into the OIT Glassfish Standard format in order to migrate it to one of their Java Enterprise Glassfish Servers. As part of our expanding responsibilities and capabilities, the RDDB must be maintained in order for the State of New Jersey to be in compliance with mission support activities which include CALEA accreditation, FEMA NIMS compliance, EMAP and EMAC accreditation, OHSP grant purchasing, ESF-7 support, the Private Sector Essential Employee Credentialing Project and GSA and LESO programs ## Related Videos - [Kubernetes and Microservices with Multi-Model Databases](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/382-kubernetes-and-microservices-with-multi-model-databases) - [The Resilience of the World Wide Web](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1281-the-resilience-of-the-world-wide-web) - [Beam Me Up, Java!
