## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field
 * 5+ years of professional software development experience
 * Strong experience developing applications with C# and .NET Core
 * Experience designing and developing REST APIs
 * Working knowledge of applications hosted in AWS
 * Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams
 * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
 * Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

 * Experience with OpenShift
 * Exposure to React or modern front-end development
 * Financial services or banking industry experience
 * Experience supporting customer-facing or high-availability applications

## Description

Kforce's client in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Software Engineer III to join a collaborative Agile team responsible for building and supporting modern Open Banking applications and APIs., This role will focus primarily on back-end development using .NET Core, C#, and REST APIs within an AWS-hosted environment, while partnering closely with front-end developers, product owners, and other engineers to deliver scalable, secure solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced software engineer who enjoys API development, cloud-based applications, and working within a mature Agile environment., * Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Open Banking applications and RESTful APIs

 * Build scalable backend services using C# and .NET Core
 * Develop and support applications hosted within AWS
 * Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Master, and fellow engineers in an Agile Scrum environment
 * Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, testing, and deployment activities
 * Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions
 * Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices
 * Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and application architecture
