## Description

DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA OCUPACIÓNThe IGTP is seeking a bioinformatician / data scientist to fill an open position in the High Content Genomics and Bioinformatics Unit of the institute to carry out tasks related to the processing and analysis of massive data. The successful candidate will provide support in bioinformatic analysis of datasets mainly derived from microarray and deep sequencing experiments, and from biomedical data science projects. The institute is attached to one of the largest teaching hospitals in the Barcelona area, the Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital (HUGTP), located on the surrounding biomedical Campus Can Ruti. The IGTP is a CERCA center; member of the biocluster supported and supervised by the Generalitat de Catalunya. It is also accredited as a Center of Excellence by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (Spanish Government) and, in this sense, acts as an umbrella organization for scientific research on campus, where it works closely with other centers located there.
