* Strong conceptual understanding of relational database systems.
 * Strong ability to understand analytic specifications, translate specifications into TIBCO Spotfire visualizations and /or underlying code.
 * Experience with extracting and combining different data sources, different databases and data warehouses
 * Strong ability to develop meaningful and consistent quality checks throughout the development process.
 * Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
 * Experience in developing User Interfaces.

Specific Technical Skills ranked from most to least important, as follows

 * C# and .NET Framework Development
 * Knowledge of PL/SQL, Oracle, and Relational Databases
 * Knowledge of Python or IronPython Scripting
 * Tibco Spotfire and Web player
 * Business Intelligence / Data Warehousing

Other

 * Experience programming in R or S+ is a plus
 * Requirement gathering
 * Analyze/Understand the business requirements and provide suggestions to customer
 * Design the report
 * Knowledge of entire architecture (eg: interface to Database, .Net, SharePoint etc) vs. just having knowledge only on report part they worked
 * Database queries
