## Description

Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer in Fort Meade MD to support a leading government-focused technology environment responsible for maintaining and modernizing large-scale enterprise infrastructure. The Sr. Network Engineer will serve as a trusted technical advisor, leading architecture discussions, driving network automation initiatives, and supporting mission-critical operations within a highly secure environment. The Sr. Network Engineer will need to sit onsite 5 days a week in Fort Meade MD., * Design, implement, and optimize enterprise network and data center infrastructure supporting high-availability operations.

 * Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex routing, switching, security, and performance-related issues across large-scale environments.
 * Serve as a technical advisor to stakeholders by translating business requirements into scalable network solutions.
 * Drive automation and operational efficiency initiatives utilizing Python, Ansible, APIs, and infrastructure automation tools.
 * Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams on modernization, migration, and transformation projects.
