 * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
 * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
 * Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment., * Experience contributing to complex enterprise or SaaS-based platforms.
 * Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction and drive architectural decisions.
 * Experience mentoring engineers and supporting team development.
 * Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and modern DevOps practices.

## Description

Robert Half is actively partnering with an Austin-based client to identify a Sr Software Engineer (contract). In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of new product capabilities while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams. This role is hybrid in Austin, Tx., * Design, develop, and support scalable back-end applications and cloud services.

 * Build new features and enhance existing platform capabilities.
 * Collaborate with engineering, product, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
 * Contribute to system architecture, design decisions, and technical roadmaps.
 * Develop reliable, secure, and highly available distributed systems.
 * Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
 * Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement efforts.
 * Analyze system performance and implement optimization strategies.
 * Leverage modern technologies, automation, and AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency and business outcomes.
 * Communicate technical concepts and project updates effectively with stakeholders.
