## About the Role

* Transportation design coursework/ internship
 * MicroStation or AutoCAD
 * EI or ability to obtain within 12 months
 * Experience using MS-Word, Excel, Project

## Description

* Develop horizontal and vertical geometry and typical sections
 * Roadway Design Modeling using Bentley Open Roads Designer or AutoCAD Civil 3D
 * Prepare plans, exhibits, cost estimates and specifications
 * Identify and apply or use the standards, guidelines and principals in the AASHTO Green Book, Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, Highway Safety Manual, and other local and national standards
 * Assist in the analysis, preparation, or modification of reports, calculations, studies, permits, and designs for projects
 * Attend client meetings and assist in client contact and communications
 * Field observations of roadway conditions and data collection

A valid driver's license and some travel will be required.

The successful candidate will have:

 * A bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering or relevant field from an accredited college or university.
