Tasks * Active TS/SCI clearance; U.S. citizenship required. * 9+ years in cyber security operations with Bachelors in IT/Cyber Security or related field; 7 years with Masters; or 13 years with High School Diploma or equivalent. * Experience with DoD/US Cyber Command, DISA, DCDC, or Service Cyber Components. * Experience presenting analysis to stakeholders of varying data knowledge levels. * Proficient in SQL; experience with KQL (Kusto). * Python experience; Jupyter notebooks is a plus. * Dashboarding/visualization experience (Power BI, Superset). * Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP). * Knowledge of Cyber Hunt methodologies; SIEMs (Splunk, QRadar, ELK); SOARs (Sentinel, CORTEX, X-SOAR). * Developing and deploying threat detection signatures; collecting data from cyber defense sources (e.g., CVE, OSINT). * Recognizing vulnerabilities and related attacks; reading signatures (SNORT, SIGMA, Yara, YAML). * Network traffic analysis tools (TCP-DUMP, Wireshark, Zeek). * Understanding MITRE ATT&CK; incident response concepts. * IDS/IPS tools and applications. * Strong interpersonal, public speaking, writing, and organizational skills. * Ability to travel up to 40% (CONUS/OCONUS); work on-site at Fort Meade, MD. * Ability to work independently and in a team. You will conduct threat hunts on large data platforms, develop visualizations, and translate requirements into useful data products for customers. You will work closely with clients to define needs, provide real-time support, and help improve threat detection and response. This position offers hands-on impact in a customer-focused, security-focused data environment.
