SPS provides essential sensing capabilities, such as pressure, proximity, air data, and fluid measurement, that support critical aircraft functions across commercial and military platforms. These products must perform reliably in demanding aerospace environments, requiring robust, certifiable embedded software aligned with industry standards. In this role, you will lead software architecture, implementation, integration, and verification activities that directly influence product performance, system safety, and long-term program success., * Develop, maintain, and optimize embedded software in C and C++ for SPS sensing products. * Implement firmware for signal conditioning, sensor calibration, filtering algorithms, data acquisition, and mixed-signal hardware control. * Use additional languages and tools including Python, Assembly, and DXL. * Create and integrate SCADE model-based designs and support auto-generated code workflows. * Perform requirements analysis, decomposition, and traceability using IBM DOORS. * Use IBM EWM for configuration management, change control, and workflow tracking. * Conduct static and dynamic analysis, including structural coverage, using LDRA + TQD. * Support certification activities consistent with DO-178C, including documentation development in Adobe FrameMaker. * Debug hardware/software interactions using debuggers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers. * Collaborate with Systems, Hardware, Test, Quality, and Manufacturing teams throughout development and verification cycles. * Participate in peer reviews of requirements, design, code, and test artifacts. * Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for software-related issues. * Mentor early-career engineers and provide technical leadership within Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). * Support continuous improvement of engineering practices, tools, and processes., We are committed to operational excellence and world class processes. We employ Lean manufacturing techniques to optimize manufacturing efficiency and accuracy on all product lines. Our products are known for their technical strength, proven reliability and overall value. ## Related Videos - [Playing Pong on a shoulder press machine](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100140-playing-pong-on-a-shoulder-press-machine) - [Great DevEx and Regulatory Compliance - Possible?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1426-great-devex-and-regulatory-compliance-possible) - [Remote Driving on Plant Grounds with State-of-the-Art Cloud Technologies](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/251-remote-driving-on-plant-grounds-with-state-of-the-art-cloud-technologies) - [Agent Smith Gets Hardware: Autonomous IoT Hacking From Debug Port to Cloud API](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100258-agent-smith-gets-hardware-autonomous-iot-hacking-from-debug-port-to-cloud-api) - [More efficient software for more efficient microchips](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1164-more-efficient-software-for-more-efficient-microchips) - [When Agents Meet Legacy: Never Change a Running System](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100320-when-agents-meet-legacy-never-change-a-running-system) ## Related Articles - [What is Software Engineering?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/289-what-is-software-engineering) - [Dev Digest 162: AI careers, MCP, AWS best practices & floppy sweaters](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/571-dev-digest-162-ai-careers-mcp-aws-best-practices-floppy-sweaters) - [Is Software Engineering Hard?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/448-is-software-engineering-hard) - [How software is steering vehicle technology](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/515-how-software-is-steering-vehicle-technology) - [Is Software Engineering Over-Saturated?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/418-is-software-engineering-over-saturated) - [Dev Digest 188: CfP time, the risks of NPM and IKEA algorithms](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/635-dev-digest-188-cfp-time-the-risks-of-npm-and-ikea-algorithms)
