Previous experience supporting a Government and/or Department of Defense customer. Desired: * A current/valid CCNA certification. * Ability to generate documentation that describes standard operating procedures, which will be used by help desk personnel. * Experience with application of DoD IAVAs and STIGs. * Proficient in network monitoring/management systems familiarity. * Solid written and verbal communication skills. * Strong investigative drive and listening skills, self-motivated individuals. * The ability to work under pressure and be flexible with their time. * Ability to prioritize and document tasks is a plus. ## Description Peraton provides a secure, worldwide, high-performance communications network comprised of real-time interactive applications operating over a dedicated IP backbone with secure services for complex national and worldwide executive-level communications. Peraton provides the O&M of the network infrastructure and its components, integration for development of hardware and software solutions, and task support for the delivery of system, network, software, and security solutions., Peraton is seeking a driven Network Technician to join our dynamic Network and Unified Communications Architecture team in Washington, DC. Peraton has served as the prime contractor for this program since its inception in the 1980's. We provide high-level government leaders with reliable secure voice, video, and fax communications anytime, anywhere, in any environment in support of day-to-day operations. We support a secure, worldwide, high-performance communications network comprised of real-time interactive applications allowing complex national and worldwide communications. Peraton provides the O&M of the network infrastructure and its components. We provide integration for development of hardware and software solutions, and engineering support for the delivery of system, network, software, and security solutions. In this role, you will provide Tier II Escalated support for in-depth troubleshooting, advanced problem resolution, remote diagnostics and systems analysis, and escalate unresolved issues to Tier III engineers.
