Act as a significant and autonomous contributor. Solve difficult problems, applying appropriate technologies and best practices. Focus is on a major portion of the systems in the infrastructure architecture, both existing and new (e.g., the design of the full implementation of an air handler system for rooms in a data center). Work on complex projects that can be implemented in multiple builds and locations. Develop standard design and configuration templates that all team members can understand and use; and improve and simplify the overall system with each iteration. Design and build solutions that scale and perform. Participate in the full system development life cycle, working within broadly defined parameters, including test plan execution and product quality needs. Deliver medium to large technology projects, which are time-bound, business-critical, and have significant bottom-line impact. Integrate systems for safety, security, stability, and efficiency. Effectively evaluate solutions and make decisions that balance long-term business value and technology risk. Do things with the proper level of complexity the first time (or at least minimize incidental complexity). Consider the legacy of each decision, limiting the use of short-term workarounds. Make appropriate trade-offs, re-use, and extend where possible. Act judiciously when introducing dependencies, efficient with resource usage, and work to lower costs. ## Related Videos - [Answering the Million Dollar Question: Why did I Break Production?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1171-answering-the-million-dollar-question-why-did-i-break-production) - [Navigating the AI Revolution in Software Development](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1266-navigating-the-ai-revolution-in-software-development) - [The Sustainability Race: AI's Promises, Pitfalls and Potential](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100155-the-sustainability-race-ai-s-promises-pitfalls-and-potential) - [What makes Cybersecurity different for critical infrastructure?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/571-what-makes-cybersecurity-different-for-critical-infrastructure) - [From Zero to Mobile Developer in 45 Minutes With SwiftUI](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/183-from-zero-to-mobile-developer-in-45-minutes-with-swiftui) - [Remote Driving on Plant Grounds with State-of-the-Art Cloud Technologies](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/251-remote-driving-on-plant-grounds-with-state-of-the-art-cloud-technologies) ## Related Articles - [A Guide to Green Tech and Green IT Careers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/374-a-guide-to-green-tech-and-green-it-careers) - [Top-Paying Tech Jobs (with Salaries)](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/372-top-paying-tech-jobs-with-salaries) - [Where to Find Entry-Level Software Engineering Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/397-where-to-find-entry-level-software-engineering-jobs) - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [How to land a developer job in Amsterdam](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/36-how-to-land-a-developer-job-in-amsterdam) - [The Most Popular IT Jobs on the Market](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/376-the-most-popular-it-jobs-on-the-market)
