Team members work from personal desks in the Avionics Lab, each equipped with precision soldering and microscope equipment. Work arrives through an electronic issue tracking system, but rarely follows a predictable schedule-most tasks are emergent and arrive with significant ambiguity. This unpredictability demands constant collaboration with electrical engineers to translate design intent into working hardware. Team members adjust their hours to match engineering schedules and shift priorities when program demands require it, ensuring prototype assembly/hardware test stays on track. About the team The EE Avionics Dev team is based in Redmond, Washington. Each member holds multiple IPC certifications and receives ongoing technical training to operate and maintain precision automated equipment. The team maintains a high quality standard, consistently delivering error-free workmanship. This combination of technical skill and lab capabilities enables the team to provide engineers with quick-turn service that unblocks critical test gates and accelerates design release to Amazon Leo production. ## Related Videos - [How To Test A Ball of Mud](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/173-how-to-test-a-ball-of-mud) - [Crew Management System for Airlines: Plan duties for pilots & flight attendants worldwide](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1444-crew-management-system-for-airlines-plan-duties-for-pilots-flight-attendants-worldwide) - [How I Built QA from Scratch in a Scaling Startup - no fluff real life story](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/2041-how-i-built-qa-from-scratch-in-a-scaling-startup-no-fluff-real-life-story) - [Agile work at CARIAD – Creating a customer web application for controlling the vehicle ](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/200-agile-work-at-cariad-creating-a-customer-web-application-for-controlling-the-vehicle) - [30 powerful AWS hacks in just 30 minutes: Boost your developer productivity](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1624-30-powerful-aws-hacks-in-just-30-minutes-boost-your-developer-productivity) - [Guiding Agentic AI with Vue](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/2033-guiding-agentic-ai-with-vue) ## Related Articles - [Dev Digest 121 - AI goes offline](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/456-dev-digest-121-ai-goes-offline) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Dev Digest 132 - Binging WADFlix?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/473-dev-digest-132-binging-wadflix) - [Dev Digest 111 - npm i -g issues](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/415-dev-digest-111-npm-i-g-issues) - [Dev Digest 180: AI Code Crashes, Rooting Copilot and a 200 LOC AI agent](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/613-dev-digest-180-ai-code-crashes-rooting-copilot-and-a-200-loc-ai-agent) - [Dev Digest 134 - Where pixels sing?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/477-dev-digest-134-where-pixels-sing)
