## About the Role

Proven experience in engineering management, with a focus on building and scaling data teams in a SaaS or technology-driven environment.
Hands-on expertise in modern data engineering practices, cloud data platforms, and the full data lifecycle (ingestion, processing, modeling, analytics, and ML/AI deployment).
Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, and experience with data pipeline frameworks (e.g., Spark, Airflow, dbt) and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
A track record of delivering innovative, data-driven products from concept to production, ideally in a regulated industry (finance, legal, compliance, etc.).
Deep understanding of data governance, quality, security, and privacy standards, especially in a B2B or regulated context.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Experience working with product management and subject matter experts to shape product strategy and deliver impactful solutions.
A passion for developing talent, fostering a high-performance culture, and leading by example.

Nice to have:
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and deploying models in production environments.
Familiarity with regulatory technology and compliance requirements.
Experience in a fast-paced, scale-up, or start-up environment.
Experience working with Snowflake cloud data platform.

We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Engineering Manager - Data & AI to lead our data and artificial intelligence capabilities for our B2B regulatory technology SaaS platform. In this pivotal role, you will drive the vision and execution of our data strategy, ensuring robust data foundations to power innovative, data-driven products for the highly regulated industries we serve.

As a crucial member of our rapidly growing business, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless coordination of engineering efforts, driving high-quality product delivery, and cultivating a collaborative environment that empowers both engineers and stakeholders. This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to our scale-up journey, working alongside talented colleagues in a fast-paced, innovation-driven setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Line management: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data engineers, data scientists, and machine learning specialists within a collaborative, agile environment. Support team growth through hiring, coaching, and fostering an inclusive, learning-oriented culture.

Planning & delivery: Drive the design, development, and deployment of AI and advanced analytics features that provide value and competitive differentiation for our clients. Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies and methodologies to ensure our platform remains at the forefront of innovation in RegTech.
Collaboration & coordination: Work closely with Product Managers to define requirements and translate business needs into actionable technical plans. Partner with Regulatory Specialists to ensure the platform meets relevant compliance and reporting standards.
Hands-on leadership: Act as a hands-on technical leader, contributing to architecture, coding, and solution design as needed to accelerate delivery and set engineering standards. Establish and maintain scalable, secure, and high-quality data infrastructure and pipelines to support current and future product requirements.
Stakeholder engagement: Partner closely with product managers, regulatory experts, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into robust, data-driven solutions.
