## About the Role

+ Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field

 + 3 years of proficiency in design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns in building scalable, highly available systems

 + 3 years of experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, ACE, IIB/ITX, Informatica preferred) and experience with at least two of the following: React, Angular v4+, NodeJS, NoSQL databases, HTML5, CSS, Google Cloud Platform, or Amazon Web Services

 + 3 years of understanding web services technologies such as REST, HTTPS, and JSON

Preferred:

 + Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field

 + 5 years of experience with one or more general-purpose programming languages, including but not limited to Java, Python (Django/Flask), C/C++, C#, Objective C, JavaScript, or Go

 + 5 years of experience defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility trade-offs for optimizing short-term execution while planning long-term technical capabilities

 + 5 years of experience working with a variety of technology systems, designing solutions, or developing applications in healthcare

 + 5 years of experience translating design mockups, prototypes, and user stories into working applications

 + 5 years of ability to produce code that is fault-tolerant, efficient, and maintainable

Physical Demands

 + Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

 + Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

 + Must be able to communicate with customers/team members over the phone and in person

What You'll Do

 + Design and create engineering specifications for software applications and programs

 + Write code that adheres to coding standards and perform code reviews

 + Generate ideas, explore, and implement technical solutions to achieve required product features

 + Monitor technical processes against project plans while safeguarding functionality, scalability, and performance

 + Participate in agile ceremonies, assist in sprint planning, and complete required sprints

 + Communicate blockers to the Scrum Master in a timely manner

 + Drive story creation, including Definition of Done (DoD), Acceptance Criteria, and estimation

 + Create tasks for stories in applicable software (e.g., RTC, Jira) and update their status and assignment

 + Monitor work against production schedules and provide progress updates or report issues regularly

 + Mentor associate software engineers as needed

 + Perform other duties as assigned or requested
