This role sits at the intersection of design and engineering, partnering closely with our product and development teams to translate ideas into intuitive, user-friendly interfaces. We're looking for a designer with strong fundamentals who has embraced modern AI tools as part of their workflow. The ideal candidate produces wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes, and exported assets that engineers can implement against - and they get there faster than a traditional designer would because they know how to leverage AI alongside Figma and other established design tools. Responsibilities + Design wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity mockups for new and existing features across web and mobile applications.Produce and hand off production-ready assets - SVG vectors, exported components, design tokens, CSS variable specs, and motion notes - that engineers can implement directly. + Build interactive prototypes for validation, user testing, and stakeholder review. + Collaborate closely with product managers and engineering teams to translate requirements into clear, implementable designs. + Provide UX guidance and feedback during implementation to ensure final products match design intent. + Develop and maintain consistent design patterns and UI standards across the TrapWire platform. + Apply modern UX principles to improve workflow efficiency and usability. + Review existing UI implementations and recommend improvements for user experience and accessibility. + Work within an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning and design reviews., US citizenship is a requirement for this role. Many of our customers operate in the national security space and require us to staff with US citizens only - this is a hard filter, not a preference. Why Join TrapWire + Work on technology supporting security, intelligence, and operational awareness platforms. ## Related Videos - [Boost Productivity with AI: Figma & Playwright MCP Workflows - Aris Markogiannakis](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1768-boost-productivity-with-ai-figma-playwright-mcp-workflows-aris-markogiannakis) - [Design Patterns For AI Products in 2026](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100255-design-patterns-for-ai-products-in-2026) - [ Evaluating AI models for code comprehension](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1462-evaluating-ai-models-for-code-comprehension) - [Designing for Every Direction: Logical CSS for Global, Adaptive, and Effortlessly Reversible UIs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/2026-designing-for-every-direction-logical-css-for-global-adaptive-and-effortlessly-reversible-uis) - [Designing the Future of Human<>Agent Collaboration](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1447-designing-the-future-of-human-agent-collaboration) - [Streaming AI Responses in Real-Time with SSE in Next.js & NestJS](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1630-streaming-ai-responses-in-real-time-with-sse-in-next-js-nestjs) ## Related Articles - [The future is here: How artificial intelligence is influencing UX design](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/65-the-future-is-here-how-artificial-intelligence-is-influencing-ux-design) - [Top AI Tools for Developers in 2025](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/560-top-ai-tools-for-developers-in-2025) - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Dev Digest 122 - Cracks in the polyfill](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/457-dev-digest-122-cracks-in-the-polyfill) - [Dev Digest 132 - Binging WADFlix?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/473-dev-digest-132-binging-wadflix)
