## About the Role

+ All experience and education will be in a technical field directly related to the labor category being proposed and all diplomas, GED certificates, and degrees will be from accredited institutions. Ten (10) years minimum experience and a High School Diploma/GED. Eight (8) years minimum experience and an Associate's Degree. Six (6) years minimum experience and a Bachelor's Degree. Four (4) years minimum experience and a Master's Degree. Two (2) years minimum experience and a Doctorate's Degree.
 + Proficient with Linux. Minimum of 3 years Linux server administration experience (within the last 3 years).
 + Proficient with AWS. Minimum of 1 year of AWS experience (within the last year).
 + Proficient with Ansible. Minimum of 1 year of Ansible experience (within the last year).
 + Experience with patching and upgrading Linux servers and AWS instances.
 + Security + cert
Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:
Should have working knowledge, able to use and or support, with some (preferably most) of the following resources and tools:

 + Linux servers
 + AWS
 + Ansible
 + Docker, Kubernetes
 + Elasticsearch, Splunk
 + Scripting (bash, Python)

We are hiring an Application Engineer 3 (Linux Server) to work in Linthicum Heights, MD. Position location is subject to change based on central MD client's needs.
Required: TS/SCI with a Polygraph, + Stand up, configure, and maintain Linux servers.

 + Monitoring and patching/upgrades to Linux servers and AWS instances.
 + Assist and incorporate security compliance controls as applicable.
 + Support documentation of non-applicable controls.
 + Assist with installation of new or replacement hardware or software.
 + Configure and integrate hardware or software with existing networked infrastructure.
 + Assist with decommission and/or removal of obsolete, excess, or replaced hardware.
 + Document inventory changes.
