* Active TS/SCI security clearance required.

 * CCIE certification required; CCNP Data Center will also be considered.

 * Demonstrated leadership experience mentoring and guiding junior engineers.

 * Strong expertise in routing, switching, data center technologies, and network operations.

 * Ability to work onsite five days per week in Fort Meade, MD.

Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to support a leading government services and defense-focused organization in the Fort Meade, MD area. The Sr. Network Engineer will serve as a technical leader responsible for enterprise-level network architecture, automation initiatives, and customer-facing consulting efforts. This Sr. Network Engineer opportunity is ideal for a seasoned engineer who can design complex solutions, advise clients as a trusted technical resource, and mentor junior engineering staff., * Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-scale network infrastructure supporting mission-critical operations.

 * Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by providing technical consultation, strategic recommendations, and architecture guidance.

 * Lead network architecture and design initiatives for complex enterprise environments.

 * Develop and maintain network automation solutions utilizing tools such as Python, Ansible, and related technologies.

 * Troubleshoot and resolve advanced network issues across routing, switching, and data center environments.

 * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing network solutions.

 * Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across project teams.

 * Support ongoing modernization efforts and recommend improvements to network performance, reliability, and security.
