## About the Role

* 7+ years of healthcare domain expertise across Provider, Patient, Clinical, Claims, Payer, Value-Based Care, Fee-for-Service, and System Interoperability
 * 4+ years of healthcare technology experience
 * Experience in Enterprise or Solution Architecture within complex IT environments
 * Experience working with key healthcare standards and integration technologies (e.g., HL7, FHIR, EDI, DICOM, RIS / PACS, Master Data Management, Electronic Health Record Systems, Interface Engines)
 * Experience formulating technology strategy, technical governance, and providing architecture consultation to senior business/technical leaders, * Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of equivalent technology experience in lieu of a degree (e.g., software engineering or systems architecture)
 * Advanced certifications in architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) or healthcare information systems
 * Experience evaluating and integrating advanced AI technologies, machine learning, or large language models to optimize workflows and system performance
 * Experience with cloud-native system architectures (e.g., Azure, AWS), microservices integration patterns, and large-scale cloud migrations
 * Proven solid leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional engineering and business teams and vendor partners

## Description

* Lead end-to-end Solution Architecture for healthcare platforms, ensuring alignment with Optum Health Enterprise Architecture standards, technology strategy, and governance
 * Provide expert Technology Consultation, Application Portfolio Management, and Vendor Management to optimize technology investments
 * Design, integrate, and maintain complex systems utilizing core healthcare standards and protocols, including HL7, FHIR, EDI, DICOM, RIS / PACS, Master Data Management (MDM), Electronic Health Record Systems (Epic is a plus), and Interface Engines
 * Evaluate AI tools and products for enterprise utilization to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and drive continuous improvement
 * Evaluate emerging trends to inform solution design and strategic innovation
 * Design, develop, and deploy strategic solutions, including those that are AI-powered, to address complex business challenges with emphasis on responsible use of data and AI
 * Establish architectural blueprints, reference models, technology landscapes, and transition roadmaps to guide development and capabilities across the ecosystem
 * Partner with product owners, business analysts, and engineering leads to govern design patterns and promote technical excellence
