Desired Qualifications: + Familiarity with the Red Hat MRG product. + Familiarity with SNMP, DHCP, UDP, TCP. + Familiarity with Linux (RHEL 6.x & 7.x) development. + Familiarity with network security. + Experience with cucumber, ruby, python, cucumber, Docker, and OpenShift Minimum Education & Experience: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. + 7+ years of application development required + 7+ years of programming experience using Object Oriented Programming + 5+ years experience in writing and debugging multithread applications ## Description In this new role, you will be responsible for the development activities on the messaging portion of the Positive Train Control (PTC) Communication System ("the communication system"). This includes the development activities including design, development, testing, the creation of test/deployment tools and documentation. It also includes hands-on environment setup, development, issue triage and debugging in order to create and maintain an on-site expertise in the messaging software. The messaging software and tools are to be written in Java and targeted to run on the RHEL 7.x platforms.
