 + Experience supporting enterprise applications and modern application architecture
 + Experience writing and maintaining unit tests
 + Experience maintaining design documentation
 + Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

## Description

We are seeking a Senior .NET Developer for a contract-to-hire opportunity supporting legacy application sustainment and modernization efforts in Alexandria, VA. This is a hands-on development role focused on building and maintaining enterprise web applications using .NET Framework, .NET Core, Angular, SQL Server, and API development.
The ideal candidate will have strong full-stack development experience, the ability to support both legacy and modern application environments, and the communication skills needed to work closely with technical leads, developers, testers, and end users., + Develop, maintain, and modernize web applications using .NET Framework, .NET Core, Angular, JavaScript, and SQL Server

 + Support legacy systems while contributing to infrastructure and application modernization efforts
 + Design, build, and maintain APIs following secure coding and architecture best practices
 + Write and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and backend database components
 + Participate in the full software development life cycle, including design, coding, unit testing, integration testing, and troubleshooting
 + Use DevSecOps toolchains for code builds, merges, deployments, and testing
 + Maintain design documentation and contribute to design and test artifact reviews
 + Collaborate with Scrum Masters, Technical Leads, developers, testers, and business users to translate requirements into Features and User Stories
 + Identify root causes of application issues and work with testers and end users to resolve defects
 + Lead by example in writing secure, maintainable, and testable code
