## About the Role

+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
 + PE License required
 + 8+ years of experience, including lead experience
 + Excellent knowledge of applicable systems design, such as HVAC, plumbing, etc., as well as general understanding of system operations.
 + Ability to read complex mechanical and plumbing plans
 + Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate with all levels of employees, clients and general contractors
 + Strong public speaking/presentation skills
 + Excellent computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office Products, including as Excel

## Description

Lead, evaluate, design, and engineer projects and systems to specification on projects ranging from new design/build to rehabilitation of existing facilities and systems. Provide ongoing technical guidance and engineering issue resolution as needed.
Position Details

 + Provides conceptual design for specific projects
 + Serves as design professional at project team design meetings
 + Prepares complex preliminary redline design layouts for estimating
 + Performs more complex calculations for a project, such as heating/cooling loads, equipment selection and sizing, friction loss calculations, hydraulic calculations, etc.
 + Performs site inspections to determine compliance with construction documents and resolves design issues during construction phase
 + Supervises less-experienced engineers in performing HVAC or other system design and documents production of small and large projects
