 + Strong understanding of backend software engineering, data engineering, and basic data science
 + Experienced in SQL, data modeling and ETL processes as well as building data pipelines
 + Experienced in Spark, Spark Streaming, Kafka
 + Experienced manager with a strong record of attracting and growing great engineers
 + Experience with solution building and architecting with public cloud offerings such as Amazon Web Services, Redshift, S3, EMR/Spark/Hive
 + Deep understanding of big data challenges and eco-system
 + Experience in test automation and ensuring data quality across multiple datasets used for analytical purposes
 + Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language such as Python
 + Have worked with Data Science teams or analytics teams
 + Graduate degree in Computer Science or similar

RESPONSIBILITIES

 + You will build and lead a team of data engineers through hiring, coaching, mentoring, and hands-on career development
 + You will provide deep technical guidance in a number of aspects of data engineering in a scalable ecosystem
 + You will work with close counterparts in other departments as part of a cross-functional team, and nurture this culture in your team
 + You will both foster innovation and drive delivery
 + You will participate in code reviews/pull requests and design reviews
