As a Frontend Engineer, you'll own large parts of the customer experience from concept to production. You'll work across our web and mobile applications, building interfaces that turn complex systems into products that feel intuitive, reliable, and fast under pressure. This isn't a role where you'll spend your time moving buttons a few pixels. You'll help define how operators understand emergencies, navigate buildings, coordinate teams, and make decisions in critical moments. You'll work closely with design, product, hardware, and backend engineering to bring entirely new product experiences to life. This is a role with significant ownership and influence over both our product and engineering culture. You'll: * Build and own major parts of Firefly's web and mobile experiences from architecture through implementation * Create interfaces that make complex operational workflows feel simple and intuitive * Work closely with design to turn ambitious concepts into polished, production-quality products * Collaborate with backend, infrastructure, ML, and hardware teams to bring new capabilities to customers * Build real-time experiences spanning maps, video, alerts, incidents, communications, and automation workflows * Shape frontend architecture, component systems, performance standards, and engineering practices * Help establish the quality bar and development culture that future engineers will inherit * Talk directly with customers and bring field feedback into product decisions ## Related Videos - [Liquid AI interfaces: how software eats frontend](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1937-liquid-ai-interfaces-how-software-eats-frontend) - [Do TypeScript without TypeScript](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/327-do-typescript-without-typescript) - [Watch Tests Go Brrrr! : Getting Started with Cypress in ReactJS](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/282-watch-tests-go-brrrr-getting-started-with-cypress-in-reactjs) - [Developing the Backend with Stefan Lingler, CTO at Shpock](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100360-developing-the-backend-with-stefan-lingler-cto-at-shpock) - [Meet Your New BFF: Backend to Frontend without the Duct Tape](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/682-meet-your-new-bff-backend-to-frontend-without-the-duct-tape) - [Nest.js - TypeScript in the backend can also be clean](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1033-nest-js-typescript-in-the-backend-can-also-be-clean) ## Related Articles - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [React Developer Salary [2023]](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/198-react-developer-salary-2023) - [16 Best Free React UI Libraries in 2025](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/148-16-best-free-react-ui-libraries-in-2025) - [Dev Digest 132 - Binging WADFlix?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/473-dev-digest-132-binging-wadflix) - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift) - [How Much FAANG Companies Actually Pay Software Engineers in 2025](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/230-how-much-faang-companies-actually-pay-software-engineers-in-2025)
