## About the Role

* Strong commercial experience with Node.js.
 * Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and/or TypeScript.
 * Experience building REST APIs and microservices.
 * Knowledge of Express.js or NestJS.
 * Experience with asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
 * Strong understanding of authentication and authorization (OAuth2, JWT).
 * Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
 * Familiarity with Docker and containerisation.
 * Experience using Git and collaborative development workflows.
 * Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including SOLID principles and design patterns.
 * Experience writing automated tests using Jest, Mocha, or similar frameworks.

## Description

* Design, develop, and maintain scalable Back End services using Node.js.
 * Build and consume RESTful APIs and microservices.
 * Develop secure, performant, and maintainable applications following best practices.
 * Collaborate with Front End developers to integrate user-facing components.
 * Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
 * Write clean, reusable, and well-tested code.
 * Create unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
 * Work closely with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines.
 * Contribute to technical design discussions and architecture decisions.
 * Troubleshoot production issues and implement performance improvements.
 * Ensure solutions comply with government security, accessibility, and data protection standards.
