The role would suit someone with: * 3-5+ years' hands-on experience in a similar MSP, IT support or infrastructure environment * Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including routing, switching, firewalls and VPNs * Demonstrable experience administering Microsoft 365 and Azure * Experience working across multiple client environments and Microsoft 365 tenants * A proven track record of independent problem-solving * Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills * Excellent communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients * The ability to mentor and support less experienced engineers * A proactive, professional and customer-focused approach Qualifications & Certifications Formal qualifications and certifications are not essential. The company places greater value on genuine, hands-on technical experience and the ability to demonstrate practical knowledge than on a list of certifications. They will be comfortable working independently, communicating with clients, taking ownership of issues and thinking beyond simply closing a ticket. ## Description The Senior IT Engineer will act as a senior technical point of escalation, taking ownership of complex issues and working alongside other senior engineers to deliver reliable, secure and effective solutions. The role offers considerable variety, with responsibility across networking, Microsoft 365 and Azure, as well as opportunities to provide technical consultancy and support the development of more junior members of the engineering team. The successful candidate will be trusted to work independently, investigate problems thoroughly and use their technical judgement to deliver the right solution.
