The role is hands-on and focuses on supporting, improving, and modernising infrastructure across multiple offices and cloud platforms, with an emphasis on automation, AI potential, and forward-thinking solutions. Key responsibilities include maintaining secure, reliable, and high-performing infrastructure across compute, storage, networking, and cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). The engineer will design standardised templates to enable self-service cloud use, automate repetitive tasks, and ensure best practices in areas like identity management, patching, and disaster recovery. The role also involves participating in a 24/7 on-call rota (1 week in every 12 & additional pay), managing incidents through to resolution, performing root cause analysis, and acting as a second-line escalation point.
