## About the Role

* NYSIF employee with one year of permanent, competitive service as an Information Technology Specialist 1; OR
 * Bachelor's or higher-level degree including or supplemented by 15 semester credit hours in computer science; OR
 * Bachelor's or higher-level degree in any field AND one year of experience in information technology; OR
 * 60 semester credit hours including or supplemented by 15 semester credit hours in computer science AND one year of experience in information technology; OR
 * Two years of experience in information technology.

Note: Certain math and business courses although taken as part of a computer science curriculum, are not counted towards the 15 semester credit hours., * Prior experience with Tricentis Tosca, Tricentis qTest, and Azure DevOps, including test automation, test management, and application lifecycle management., Some positions may require additional credentials or a background check to verify your identity.

## Description

* Review business and technical requirements to identify test conditions.
 * Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
 * Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks and reusable test scripts.
 * Ensure automation integrates with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
 * Execute automated test suites across different environments.
 * Perform functional, regression, smoke, performance testing.
 * Execute manual tests when automation is not feasible or for exploratory testing.
 * Identify, document, and track defects in qTest.
 * Provide clear reproduction steps, logs, and screenshots.
 * Collaborate with developers and business users to resolve defects.
 * Validate data integrity and perform backend testing using SQL or APIs.
 * Ensure compliance with NYSIF standards, accessibility guidelines, and security requirements., This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS).
