Experteer Overview In this role you will help drive Checkout's next-generation payments technology. You'll work across product teams to design, build, and improve scalable systems that power merchants' acceptance, fraud reduction, and customer experiences. You will lead projects, set priorities, and deliver high-quality software while mentoring peers. This is a hands-on engineering role at speed, with impact across a broad portfolio of products and services. Compensation / Benefits * Lead and drive specific projects critical to Checkout's needs * Define and design loosely coupled, scalable microservices-based systems * Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance software solutions * Set priorities, deadlines, and deliverables for projects * Build, own, and operate systems with high resilience and service levels * Mentor junior team members and contribute to their technical growth * Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management Tasks * Bachelor's or a
aaaaav_ degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field * Proficiency in C# .NET, Java, or Go * Strong understanding of software development principles in backend or full-stack environments * Excellent communication and stakeholder interaction skills * Experience in agile environments and delivering high-quality code under tight deadlines * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team * AI-proficiency or AI-curiosity to leverage latest tech for productivity * Payments or financial knowledge is a plus but not required Key requirements * hybrid working model with 3 days in the office * growth opportunities * ownership and impact * collaborative culture * recognition for impact * global scale projects
