Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with policies and regulations governing information and communication systems.Experience with network administrative systems to include financial and logistics.Experience applying network systems management methods to conduct analysis and recommend resolution to complex issues affecting computer network defense security.Experience with computer related operating systems, hardware systems, and network applications and devices including process and stateful packet inspection firewalls, routers and switches.. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving., Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. ## Description * You will analyze network information to measure performance and system utilization. * You will analyze network system logs to determine the root cause of a system failure. * You will configure network assets (e.g., servers, routers, switches, hubs, firewalls, peripherals, hardware, software, or similar assets) for reliable performance. * You will evaluate networks to verify continued reliability of networked systems. * You will analyze operating systems malfunctions to implement corrective actions. * You will diagnose issues with application software to implement solutions to problems. * You will Investigate existing information technology (IT) systems to identify potential issues. * You will resolve interface issues and challenges during the design, test, and evaluation phases. Requirements Conditions of employment * Must be a US Citizen. * Must be determined suitable for federal employment. * Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. * New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
