You would be the technical lead on acquisition projects: writing the specification, supporting evaluation, holding the design together through implementation, and supervising the testing at the end of it. What you would be doing * Providing technical leadership to acquisition projects - integrated, interoperable solutions, technical specifications, evaluation support and acceptance testing. * Contributing to solution architectures, evaluating alternatives and the trade-offs in cost, performance and scalability, and documenting the decisions that matter. * Aligning solutions with the enterprise and solution architecture standards, security included. * Defining and managing scoping, requirements and prioritisation; reviewing requirements for errors and omissions; documenting traceability and handling authorised changes to the baseline. * Planning and driving systems development projects, selecting the methods and tools, reporting progress and building road maps for what comes next. * Preparing pre-qualification questionnaires and tender invitations, producing detailed evaluation criteria for complex tenders and evaluating them. * Acting as the routine technical contact point with suppliers on contract management. * Overseeing design reviews, making sure the design balances functional and non-functional requirements, and managing the associated risks. * Driving systems integration, test and acceptance - including automation and continuous integration - and giving authoritative advice on any part of it. * Making sure SATCOM project proposals line up with NATO operational requirements, interoperability standards and future capability needs. ## Related Videos - [Unlocking the potential of Digital & IT at Vodafone](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/602-unlocking-the-potential-of-digital-it-at-vodafone) - [From Bedside Beeps to Interoperable Bytes – Getting your medical devices ready to talk the IEEE 11073 language](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/771-from-bedside-beeps-to-interoperable-bytes-getting-your-medical-devices-ready-to-talk-the-ieee-11073-language) - [Distributed search under the hood](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/256-distributed-search-under-the-hood) - [What makes Cybersecurity different for critical infrastructure?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/571-what-makes-cybersecurity-different-for-critical-infrastructure) - [Trends, Challenges and Best Practices for AI at the Edge](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/630-trends-challenges-and-best-practices-for-ai-at-the-edge) - [WeAreDevelopers LIVE - GraalVM in action, Static Analysis insights and more](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1723-wearedevelopers-live-graalvm-in-action-static-analysis-insights-and-more) ## Related Articles - [Best Companies in the Netherlands: Top 25 Companies in 2023 ](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/193-best-companies-in-the-netherlands-top-25-companies-in-2023) - [How to land a developer job in Amsterdam](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/36-how-to-land-a-developer-job-in-amsterdam) - [The 12 Best Jobs for Software Engineers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/401-the-12-best-jobs-for-software-engineers) - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs) - [Where to Find Entry-Level Software Engineering Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/397-where-to-find-entry-level-software-engineering-jobs) - [The Netherlands – Europe’s powerhouse for software development?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/31-the-netherlands-europe-s-powerhouse-for-software-development)
