Engineering Lead (Platform & Architecture) This full-time, onsite opportunity west of Boston is with a growing technology organization that develops advanced software and connected systems for complex real-world applications. The team is looking for an experienced Engineering Lead to help drive application modernization efforts, architect scalable platforms, and guide the adoption of cloud-native technologies. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in Java, Python, microservices, and cloud infrastructure who enjoys balancing hands-on development with technical leadership.

You'll partner closely with senior technical leadership to evaluate emerging technologies, modernize legacy platforms, shape architectural standards, and mentor engineers while remaining deeply involved in design and development. The company is looking for someone who enjoys solving challenging technical problems, introducing innovative solutions, and helping teams scale for future growth. Required Skills & Experience

 * 7+ years of software engineering experience
 * Strong Java and Python development experience
 * Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures
 * Cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure-as-Code experience
 * Experience with Docker and containerized applications
 * CI/CD pipeline development and automation experience
 * Background working in Agile environments
 * Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers

Desired Skills & Experience

 * Go development experience
 * Kubernetes orchestration experience
 * AWS cloud experience
 * IoT or connected-device platform experience
 * Observability and monitoring tool experience
 * Experience modernizing legacy applications
 * Strong architecture and system design experience, Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.
