## About the Role

* Hands-on experience assembling, building, or maintaining hardware or mechanical systems in operational environments, including assembly, disassembly, and on-site debugging.
 * Comprehensive technical understanding of computer systems; prior experience with autonomous hardware systems or computer vision applications is preferred.
 * Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and reliably on customer premises.
 * Willingness and ability to travel extensively across North America for extended periods, often 1-3 weeks at a time.
 * Valid driving license required.

## Description

* Assemble and build robots on customer sites ahead of deployment, typically 2-3 weeks before the Deployment Engineer arrives to carry out the implementation.
 * Perform initial testing and commissioning of each robot, confirming it is fully functional before handover to the deployment team.
 * Conduct detailed warehouse surveys and feed accurate site information back to the deployment team to inform installation planning.
 * Carry out detailed Wi-Fi and mobile/cellular connectivity surveys across the site, documenting coverage and flagging any gaps or risks.
 * Confirm with the customer that the required power supply and infrastructure are in place ahead of deployment.
 * Prepare, pack, and coordinate the return shipment of tools and equipment to our Nashville facility.
 * Develop and maintain clear documentation of build steps, test results, site conditions, and survey findings for both customers and internal stakeholders.
 * Maintain effective communication with customers and the deployment team throughout the site-readiness phase.
 * Progressively build deployment expertise through structured on-the-job training, working towards a Deployment Engineer role.
