In this role, you will specifically support a project for a major logistics provider in Brussels by building the front end components used to visualize complex pricing models and capital allocation data. About Blue Oak Consulting Blue Oak Consulting provides independent advisory on pricing, portfolio economics, capital allocation, and acquisition assumptions. We are not a traditional consulting firm focused on broad transformation programs or high level strategy decks. Instead, we interrogate specific commercial decisions where the financial stakes are high and the existing narrative is not sufficient. Our team looks past corporate language and P&L complexity to identify where value is leaking or capital is trapped. We work across sectors like software, manufacturing, and healthcare to test whether the assumptions behind a growth plan or an acquisition actually hold under pressure. We are a small, principal led firm where the people who do the work are the ones accountable for the results. We do not take transaction contingent fees, which allows us to be completely honest about whether the economics of a decision make sense. Our goal is to provide clarity through financial discipline and a healthy amount of skepticism. We stay through the execution phase because decisions that look sound in theory often fail when they meet real world friction., This is a technical position focused on the structural and visual clarity of digital tools. Working in a fully remote capacity, you will collaborate with our financial analysts to turn data findings into clear, functional web interfaces. The work is direct and practical: you will be building the tables, charts, and layouts that help a major logistics provider understand their own financial economics. You will focus on writing clean, maintainable code that prioritizes readability and accuracy over visual flair. This role requires a disciplined approach to development, where the logic of the layout must match the logic of the underlying data. What You Will Be Doing * Writing clean, semantic HTML and CSS to build data heavy web pages and dashboards. * Converting visual mockups into functional components that display real time logistics and financial data. * Ensuring all financial tables and charts are legible and correctly aligned across different browser environments. * Testing and debugging layout issues to ensure that critical pricing information is never obscured or misinterpreted. * Refining existing style sheets to improve the speed and performance of internal reporting tools. * Collaborating with the technical team to ensure front end components integrate correctly with data sources. * Maintaining a consistent design system that reflects the professional and analytical nature of our firm. * Documenting your code clearly so that technical logic can be reviewed and maintained by other team members. ## Related Videos - [The Resilience of the World Wide Web](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1281-the-resilience-of-the-world-wide-web) - [WeAreDevelopers LIVE - CSS or BS?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1850-wearedevelopers-live-css-or-bs) - [How a Small Team Shrank a Microsoft Monorepo by 94%](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1236-how-a-small-team-shrank-a-microsoft-monorepo-by-94) - [WeAreDevelopers LIVE - 50 years Microsoft, Web Readiness Report, The German Web Community and more](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1320-wearedevelopers-live-50-years-microsoft-web-readiness-report-the-german-web-community-and-more) - [NoLoJS - Avoiding JavaScript Cruft with HTML and CSS - Aaron T.
