Do you enjoy analysing data quality, identifying issues and working collaboratively with stakeholders to make sure information meets the required standards?, * Experience working with CAD/model data or complex technical datasets. * Strong understanding of data structures, quality and how information moves between systems or lifecycle stages. * Ability to analyse information against defined requirements and identify where data does or doesn't comply. * Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. * Confident communication skills, with the ability to explain findings and provide constructive feedback to stakeholders. * A collaborative, team-focused approach. * Experience presenting or reporting on data. Candidates could come from CAD, BIM, Digital Engineering, Information Management or Data Analyst backgrounds. Rail experience isn't essential, but you'll need to be comfortable working with technical and engineering information! This could particularly suit a CAD or BIM professional looking to move away from producing drawings and models into a more data-focused position, or a Data Analyst who has experience working with technical, spatial or engineering information. ## Description An exciting opportunity has arisen for two CAD Data Analysts to join a major rail organisation, working within its CAD function to support the quality and acceptance of CAD and engineering data supplied across a range of major contracts. This isn't a traditional CAD drafting or design position. You'll focus on the data behind CAD and models, assessing incoming information, running validation checks and ensuring submissions meet the appropriate specifications and minimum data requirements. You'll work closely with contractors, CAD colleagues and Information Management teams, analysing everything from file structures and metadata through to supporting evidence and data acceptance requirements. The key question you'll help answer is whether the information being supplied is compliant, consistent and usable by the next person in the information lifecycle. ## Related Videos - [The user in the eye of the Cargo1492 storm](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/96-the-user-in-the-eye-of-the-cargo1492-storm) - [Phel, a native Lisp for PHP](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/791-phel-a-native-lisp-for-php) - [Beyond Dashboards: Fixing Text-to-SQL with Semantic RAG](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/2036-beyond-dashboards-fixing-text-to-sql-with-semantic-rag) - [Modern Data Architectures need Software Engineering](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1030-modern-data-architectures-need-software-engineering) - [Distributed search under the hood](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/256-distributed-search-under-the-hood) - [REST, GraphQL, gRPC, and more: A comparison of modern API styles](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100247-rest-graphql-grpc-and-more-a-comparison-of-modern-api-styles) ## Related Articles - [Data Engineer Salary UK](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/253-data-engineer-salary-uk) - [Data Analyst Salary in the UK](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/278-data-analyst-salary-in-the-uk) - [The Most Popular IT Jobs on the Market](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/376-the-most-popular-it-jobs-on-the-market) - [The 12 Best Jobs for Software Engineers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/401-the-12-best-jobs-for-software-engineers) - [IT Salaries in UK](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/288-it-salaries-in-uk) - [Best Companies to work for in London: Top 25 Companies in 2023](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/187-best-companies-to-work-for-in-london-top-25-companies-in-2023)
