## About the Role

* Advanced knowledge of Python and SQL
 * Extensive experience using design and architectural patterns
 * Design and development experience in modern technologies such as API management, REST/API integration, Containers, and Microservices
 * Experience in Web UI (Angular, Spring) and CI/CD tools
 * Knowledge of various financial instruments including Bonds, Interest rate swaps, Repo and FX products
 * Understanding of risk and P/L generation for the above instruments
 * Prior Capital Markets experience
 * Creative, quick-thinking, and an aptitude for solving problems with technology
 * Ability to work both independently and within a high-functioning team environment

Desired skills:

 * Knowledge of key proprietary trading platform components
 * Experience working on a proprietary remote risk framework and calculators

## Description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Python Application Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ or Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
This role is responsible for the analysis and development of applications on a proprietary trading platform. The candidate will build and support the remote risk stack for various asset classes and also work on building analytics and pricing components for a hedge accounting platform. The role involves participating in the design and development of applications while working with multiple teams across the institution.
